BHS scarf
Scarf 2 1/15/08 –
Warp:
1 strand of Avanti (black) with 2 strands of 5/2 pearl cotton. (Dr. Purple and gold)
8 epi
total length of warp 108” – 3yards
width 7”
take up 1”
on reed 8”
8epi * 8” +1 to end on avanti = 65 ends
weft:
3/2 pearl cotton (Dr. Purple)
8 picks per inch. 8” x 78” x 8 = 4992/36”/yd = 139 yds.
Aprox 150 yards
Found that I had missed a dent about midspan. That is kind of causing a misspacing. Later I used the same treadling for two in a row and realized it some inches later. Could not figure out where until even later. Also found that a warp strand had broke at some point in time and I just kind of held that until it was woven back in. I am still getting the distortion across the front when I bring the work forward. I try to weave even closer but that does not seem to solve the problem entirely. The wood is a bit indented there as there is not a straight edge all the way across I don’t know if that is the problem.
